Casting and assembling the flagpole foundation
- Dig a hole to a freeze-free depth of approx. 80 - 120 cm, diameter 40 cm, fill with concrete
- Attach the 3 anchor bolts to the hinge plate using the nuts so that the anchor bolts extend 75 mm from the top surface of the plate
- Press the hinge plate with anchor bolts into the concrete, correct the plate with a spirit level
- Make sure that the hinge part of the plate is on the side from which it will be pushed up
- When the concrete has hardened (after about a week), mount it on the hinge plate using a hinge bolt.
- Push the flag upright and set the pig with the adjusting nuts, tighten the nuts
- Check after about 1 month and retighten the nuts
