Raising and lowering the flag

To hoist the flag, connect the flag between the two ends of the string with hooks (or, in their absence, tie them). Make sure that one end of the cord runs through the hole in the cord holder. Raise the flag by pulling the string. Then tighten the cord and tie the ends of the cord firmly to the bollard.

To lower the flag, release the ends of the string from the bollard and lower the flag by the string. Release the flag from the string. Then tighten the cord and tie the ends of the cord firmly to the bollard.
